Kremen School of Education and Human Development

The University’s roots date back to 1911 when the doors of the Fresno State Normal School opened to just 150 hopeful future teachers. Today, the Kremen School of Education and Human Development carries on this legacy and focuses on improving education in our region by preparing educators who can effectively work in linguistically- and culturally diverse settings. The Kremen School's emphasis on leadership for diverse communities provides a foundation for transformative programs, partnerships and residencies in urban and rural districts across the Central Valley. In addition to our work in teacher education, the Kremen School leads in the preparation of counselors and higher education leaders while providing doctoral-level preparation for educational administrators.

From leadership development to a school-wide focus on teacher-student connections, the Welty Center's work translates to real results for students. Your donation fuels this vital work, creating brighter futures for children across the Valley!
