Division of Continuing and Global Education

The Division of Continuing Global Education at Fresno State offers a diverse array of programming to connect the campus and community. The Division includes four major areas: extended education, international affairs (international student services and admissions), community and economic development, and study abroad. The Division offers bachelor's and master's degrees, certificates, continuing education and professional development courses, personal enrichment classes and global education programs such as intensive language development and academic exchanges. By eliminating barrier to success and ensuring access to higher education across the region, the division is creating a more equitable and hopeful future.

Veterans Education Program

The transition from military life to higher education is challenging. This program bridges military life to civilian life to higher education; removing barriers, including the cost of attendance, for service members and veterans. It does this by providing a two semester program toward an undergraduate degree in English, Speech, Critical Thinking and Mathematics. No state funding is allocated to this program, rather, funding comes solely from philanthropic partners. After successful completion of the program, qualified students may transition to full-time Fresno State students.

Study Abroad

Nearly 90% of Fresno State students are from the Central Valley and many haven’t traveled outside our region. We know that these high-impact experiences change students’ lives. Your gift supports study abroad opportunities that enrich students’ cultural knowledge, increase their self-confidence, and make them better community members when they return to the Central Valley from their studies abroad.

International Office Support

At Fresno State, approximately 500 international students bring a global perspective that is priceless. Your gift will support international students with their studies at Fresno State and aid them with their education from admission to arrival - everything they need to succeed as students.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute offers learning opportunities to those aged 50 and older. No entrance requirements, tests, grades, or papers – just learning for enjoyment, personal growth, and intellectual stimulation. Gifts to OLLI help keep program quality high and course offerings expansive while keeping membership and course fees nominal.
