This proposed student center will provide nearly 1,800 Lyles College of Engineering students with 2,000 square-feet of new, state-of-the-art collaboration space located within proximity of faculty offices, labs and classrooms. The center’s entry will inspire, home to a gallery of successful, innovative student projects, and will also commemorate the crew of the Space Shuttle Columbia, whose commander was Col. Rick Husband, a Fresno State engineering alumnus.
Research experiences enhance student learning and are a proven high-impact practice. Your gift will enable students to conduct research with faculty and create projects in their disciplines. These co-curricular experiences will allow students to dive deeper into their research and work collaboratively with other student researchers – while refining their oral and written communications skills.
The process of student success extends beyond the classroom and course grades. The Student Success Fund will support the development and implementation of professional and career-readiness workshops, co-curricular instructional programs, supplemental instruction, industry visits and student conference participation.
